St. Peter’s Hospital Jacobu, Ashanti Region

Through collaborations with the Hia community and staff at the local health clinic, a partnership have been formed with the St. Peter’s Hospital where a fact finding visit in May 2014 identified further opportunities to support the hospital.

To date funds of GHS 4,000 (four thousand cedis) have been donated for the refurbishment of the Dental Unit. A further two boxes of dental equipment have been shipped to the hospital in January 2016 to equip the Dental Unit at the St. Peter’s Hospital by the courtesy of Liverpool based Dentist, Dr. Samuel Appiah Anane and Mrs. Maria Appiah Anane. Further plans are in the pipeline to assist in the capacity building of staff of the Dental Unit.

The hospital requires support in the following areas:

  • Assistance and support in reducing the maternal and child mortality rate.
  • Ear, Nose and Throat; skills and equipment
  • Ophthalmology (Eye care); skills and equipment
